Interface Overview
Get familiar with the Bulk Product Editor interface. This guide covers what you'll see when you first open the app and how to start your first bulk edit.
Dashboard
When you open Bulk Product Editor from your Shopify admin, you'll see the main dashboard with these sections:
Quick Stats Cards
At the top, four cards show your key metrics:
- Bulk edits: Total number of bulk edit operations you've performed (e.g., "15")
- Time saved: How much time the app has saved you (e.g., "45 minutes")
- Products updated: Total count of products you've modified (e.g., "1200")
- Plan: Your current subscription plan and renewal date (e.g., "Pro plan (Till: 21 Mar 2025)")
Getting Started Guide
The middle section shows "Update products with minimal efforts" with a simple 3-step process:
- Step 1: Filter & select products
- Step 2: Define modifications
- Step 3: Run/Schedule the job
There's also a "Generate a product" button to create sample data for testing.
Recent Activity
The bottom section shows "Active and recent bulk edits" - your job history table with:
- Job Name: Descriptive names like "Change for Christmas" or "Candy Price Change -10%"
- Time: When each job was executed
- Status: Completed, Reverted, Cancelled, etc.
- Products Affected: Number of products modified
Click "See all" to view your complete job history.
Start Your First Bulk Edit
Ready to edit your products? You have several ways to begin:
From the Dashboard
- Follow the 3-step guide: The "Update products with minimal efforts" section walks you through the process
- Use sample data: Click "Generate a product" to create test products if needed
- Learn from history: Click on any job in the recent activity table to see how it was done
From the App Menu
In your Shopify admin sidebar, under Apps, you'll find Bulk Product Editor with these sections:
- Home: The dashboard (where you are now)
- Products: Go directly to product filtering and editing
- Jobs: View and manage all your bulk edit operations
- Settings: Configure app preferences
